is ideal for the very hygroscopic parchment, as it is not glued at all to the cover nor to the book block, but just fold around a card. The bands which attach the board to the bookblock are not the sewing bands. A black leather headband finishes to the bookblock on top and tail. The hollow allows the spine to stick in place in its cover. It's my favorite way to work with parchment as it respects the character of the material.
